Passover: The Timing

God’s principles and instructions lay in His Word, the Holy Bible. All the mysteries to heaven and earth are known to God, and He reveals some of them in the Bible. The more we learn about God’s principles and instructions, the wiser we will become, and our lives will transform. What does this have to do with Passover? I’ll tell you.

The way we do things and the way God does things are vastly different.

In the Passover, it was the Father’s instructions to His people and their faith in those instructions that spared their children’s lives, freed them from horrible slavery, and showed them miracles that many believers would hear about for centuries to come. It is in honor of these principles of obedience, trust, and blessing that Passover is observed. Most importantly, Passover is observed in honor of a Person – Jesus Christ, the Messiah. He is the Lamb that was slain before the foundation of the earth, and the Deliverer of His people from death, hell, and the grave!

There are different types of covenants in the Bible, but the one we probably hear the most about is the “New Covenant” – the covenant enacted by the blood of Jesus Christ. Only by receiving His blood, opening the door of your heart to Jesus Christ, inviting Him into your life and making Him the Lord of your life, does the effect of this blood go into action in your life. Once you activate the power of the blood of Jesus Christ by accepting Him, your covenant is in full effect. The lamb sacrificed at Passover, whose blood covered the doorways of those who believed God’s instructions, activated the protection of the families within. Their children did not see death..their slavery was canceled…Pharaoh was forced to let them go free…their neighbors were commanded to give them silver and gold for their journey…Their health was strong, there was not a feeble one among them, despite the terrible conditions they had lived under. The force of the blood covenant went into effect at the Passover! But this was the Old Covenant, and now we have the Passover Lamb, Jesus Christ, knocking at the door of our hearts, asking gently if He can come in. All of these blood covenant benefits are ours, and we don’t have to kill any more lambs, bulls or goats to keep it. His blood is enough!

Nothing in God’s kingdom happens by chance. Ecclesiastes 3:1 says, “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven.” God is strategic and concise. God’s timing is cyclical. Our sleep cycle refreshes us with rest and gets us ready for being awake. Our weekly cycle marks days of work and days of rest. A woman’s biological cycle determines the timing of procreation. We measure a day by the rotation of the earth. We measure a year by the revolution of the earth’s orbit around the sun. God delivered His people at the Passover for a reason.

Your Appointment

Throughout the year, different cycles of feasts occurred that marked out different and distinct seasons for God’s people. Passover was the first feast of the year and marked a distinct season for God’s people, just like the revolution of the earth brings winter, spring, summer, and fall. There is winter, spring, summer, and fall in the spirit realm, too. When you study God’s Word, you begin to see the significance of the feasts, times and seasons. God has a cycle, timing, and rhythm set for your life personally as well.

The same patterns and curses your forefathers struggled with, the enemy will try to interject into your life and the lives of your children. However, there are “God moments” given to us where God breaks these demonic patterns in our lives forever. When you sense God leading you to confront an issue in your life, don’t miss your appointment! God is going to deliver you by the power of the blood of Jesus Christ.

Passover is about the celebration of God’s protection by the blood of the lamb, which allowed His people to leave slavery, enter freedom, and pursue the abundance found in the Promised Land. Does that sound familiar?

Christ is our Passover. We have eternal life, a destiny, calling and purpose here on earth only by the blood of Jesus Christ, and His blood allows us to enter freedom in order to pursue our Promised Land. May the blood of Jesus Christ break every yoke today!

God's Treasures

"but we have this treasure in earthen vessels," 2 Corinthians 4:7

Have you ever felt worthless, or did not perceive the value you have? Have people ever tried to make you feel less than you should about yourself? But who determines your value? Who decides what your appraisal should be? The answer is God.

God has made you, and you are a rare vessel. You are a treasure in an earthen vessel. You are a vessel of honor. Did you know that God does not have a junkyard? The devil tries to convince us that we are useless and obtain no value. But the devil is a liar. God made you and loves you the way you are.

If God be for us, who can be against us? Believe today that God will show Himself to you and allow you to see yourself from His view. Pray this prayer: "Father, I am Your gift, and I will declare Your glory. I worship you this day in the beauty of your holiness. I accept myself for who I am because I am wonderfully and fearfully made. I am made in your image to reflect you…

Failproof Faith

"For if ye do these things, ye shall never fall." 2 Peter 1:10b The author of this book is the apostle Peter. It strikes me funny that he is the one who writes this. It is obvious that he learned through experiences, for he was the one who (in my opinion) struggled the most to stand. He loved God, he followed God, he gave to God, he forsook all, but he struggled in the end to stand. Is this not the real issue in your life, as well?  I am not talking about your love for God or your obedience to God; I am talking about your ability to stand. When Jesus warned Peter about his denial, Peter guaranteed Jesus that he would have his back. When we are faced with real pressure from our peers and the world, we struggle to stand. But how can you go through and not fall? Peter was the perfect portrait for most people.
His name was Simon, which means, "water." Water is unstable (taking on the shape according to its environment) in terms of an element. But Jesus renamed him, Pet…

What Is On Your Mind?

“Think on these things.” Philippians 4:8 The level of our potential depends upon the level of our thinking. If we let our minds wander into doubt and unbelief, we will drown in fear. Fear is false evidence appearing real. We cannot allow ourselves to daydream and let the devil take control of our thinking. Some Christians need to get rid of stinking thinking and get a checkup from the neck up.
Paul compelled the Philippians to think thoughts that are true, just, pure, lovely, of good report, of virtue, and of praise. Negative thinking will not only prevent you from reaching your potential, it will kill your dreams. A person who cannot dream will eventually start having nightmares.
All this week we have been focusing on our thoughts and on meditation. The Hebrew word we have focused on is, “Hagah.” The same word can be translated differently and according to the mental images of the individual. “Hagah” also means to murmur, mutter or mourn. Isaiah declared, “Your tongue hath muttered…
